About

Anthony Ammar was born in 1979 in London, eventually moving to New Zealand at the age of one.
His fascination with music dates back to his younger years, when he started learning clarinet in Junior School and playing piano and saxophone through High School. For Anthony, music has always brought creative fulfillment.
At 13, the love of film and television music led Anthony into the world of computer music technology. The now old Atari and Notator programs had been an invaluable starting point to learning the skills needed for the modern composer.
In 1999, Anthony moved to Sydney, Australia where he furthered his interest in music technology by gaining an Honors Degree in Sound and Audio Engineering. He absorbed himself into the Australian music scene, surrounded by every musical influence, eager to learn the ropes.
After three years, his willingness to learn offered a unique and exciting opportunity to work on various musical projects. A friend introduced him to writing music for a new Discovery Network series. Since then, there has been no turning back.
Anthony wrote music for a number of famous TV networks such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic, Channel 10 and 7. Yet his most well known works have been with Channel 9. He played a key musical role in such successes as Sea Patrol 1, 2 and 3, MasterChef Australia and New Zealand, the Apprentice, Farmer Wants a Wife, Things to Try Before You Die, and The Strip. His other notable clients include Qantas, Supre, Westfield and Hyundai, amongst others.
Today, Anthony is Managing Director of Pulse Creation Productions in Lane Cove, Producer of the soon to be released World Music Album ‘Chrysalis’, Sample Library Developer and Music Composer for TV, film and advertisements.
